Duvets

REDUCE

Duvets are difficult to re-use and recycle.

We would encourage you to reduce your need to buy a new one by having your duvet cleaned. There are plenty of specialist duvet cleaning companies who can clean your duvet to a high standard and most launderettes have a duvet cleaning service.

Unlike many textiles which can at least be recycled even if they are ripped or stained, duvets are not accepted by the textiles recycling industry.

RSPCA Brighton will take synthetic ones (any size) but not too many at once so please phone ahead and see if they are in need: 01273 554218.

Re-sale opportunities are car boot sales or jumble sales.

DVDs

RE-USE RECYCLE

DVDs can be reused and recycled.

We do accept all DVDs at the Green Centre where they will be re-sold to support the project or recycled with our recycling partner if they are in bad condition.

These can be taken to the Green Centre Stall at the Open Market on a Thursday between 9am anmd 5pm. Please ALWAYS refer to our Facebook page to check we are there.
