There are many on-line platforms who specialize in buying and selling records. The following all buy records; 

There are also opportunities to sell old 78' records;

You can also re-purpose your vinyl records;

RECYCLED
If you are unable to sell or give away your records or reuse them in creative way there is no infrastructure for recycling vinyl records on a domestic scale so sadly they are currently destined for landfill.

There are companies throughout Europe who are part of the Recovinyl Network who will accept records for recycling on an industrial scale.

  • These can now be recycled at supermarkets who operate a flexible plastic packaging recycling scheme.

How?

  • All flexible plastic ring carriers used to hold cans.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • The scheme is sponsered by Hi-Cone.
  • Plastic ring carriers are very harmful to wildlife. In 1987, the Associated Press reported that as many as one million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals were killed every year by six-pack rings. Read more here.
  • Over 300,000,000 ring carriers have been collected and given new purpose over the last 25 years.

Yes rubber bands can be re-used.

REUSE

  • Jason's Eggs at Brighton Open Market. Opposite Planet Brighton. 
  • They accept all kinds of rubber bands but NOT broken rubber bands. They should be included in your general waste.
  • The rubber bands are reused. They are used to secure eggs in boxes and trays.
