Green A to Z - Typewriters

Typewriters can be re-used through Workaid including manual; large desktop and small portable (if less than 30 years old) and electrical; desktop (less than 25 years old). All machines must have instruction manuals. They also accept ribbons, cartridges and manuals.

Workaid tackles poverty in less economically developed countries by supplying disadvantaged people with the tools they need to earn a living.

They collect unwanted items from all over the UK, repair them and send them to vocational training projects, mostly in East Africa.  They have an efficient network of 100 volunteers who co-ordinate tools collections.

So if you have a typewriter to donate, please phone 01494 775220 or email and you will be put in touch with your nearest area organiser.

Alternatively you can bring them to the Green Centre and we will add them to our collection which is heading for Workaid.
