Postage Stamps

Yes postage stamps can be re-used and recycled.

REUSE

  • Collectable stamps can be re-used by selling to Coastal Stamp Auctions at 36 Queens Road, Brighton, BN1 3XB - 01273 324827.

RECYCLE
Where?

  • You can send them off to the Royal National Institute of Blind People  [RNIB] and make a difference to blind and partially sighted people. Get pre-paid collection envelopes or boxes for your stamps by completing a request form, or by calling their Helpline on 0303 123 999 and selecting option 4. More details here.

How?
They accept all stamps including;

  • new, first or second class.
  • used, British & overseas
    • Please cut the stamp off the envelope. When cutting, leave approximately 1cm of envelope bordering each stamp and seperate into 2 groups; British & overseas. RNIB volunteers prepare thousands of stamps and this will save them hours of work. 
  • first day covers.
  • presentation packs.
  • albums.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Stamps are sold by weight and the RNIB can raise up to £20 per kilogram.
