Yes cooking oil can be recycled.

How?

  • They accept the  following waste vegetable oils; maize, olive, palm, rapeseed, Soya, sunflower, safflower, sesame, almond, coconut, groundnut, peanut and walnut oil.

  • Do not worry about small particles of food matter left in the oil - this will be sieved out. However the scheme won't accept oil contaminated with animal fat.

  • Please save your oil in a screw top plastic bottle no larger than 2 litres. We are not able to accept glass bottles or flip top lids.

How?

  • Please make sure your engine oil is in a sealed container

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Motor oil does not wear out it just gets dirty so recycling it saves a valuable resource.
  • Recycling and reusing used motor oil is preferable to disposal and can provide great environmental benefits. It prevents it from polluting soil and water.

Old British Currency

Yes old British Currency can be reused & recycled. We can also accept ALL Foreign Currency, including notes and coins and currency no longer in circulation. 

REUSE
The majority of old British Currency has very little value because so much of it was in circulation however some may be of interest to collectors.

How?

  • We will accept any amount of old British currency including coins and notes.
  • Will accept Commemorative coins.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Paper banknotes are either recycled using a composting treatment to create a soil improver or processed at a local energy recovery facility to generate electricity.
  • Polymer banknotes are turned into pellets before being transformed into new plastic items, such as plant pots and storage boxes.
